Default Dallas F-Type owners and black badging

Hey guys and gals. Any F-Type owners in Dallas that get together for drives or general shenanigans? I'd love to meet up for Sunday drives.

Also have any F-Type owners swapped the chrome badging for the gloss black badging? If so how did you do it and what was the cost? Dealer? Aftermarket? My dealer here in the Dallas area wants $700 to the the leaper on the spoiler, the 'Jaguar' and 'F-Type' lettering.

If anyone has some pics to share of the gloss black badging please share. Trying to get a feel what it looks like.

You could plasti-dip them yourself so much cheaper. Mine came from the factory blacked out but I've heard of others dipping them.

Your dealer certainly does't love you. Further, they don't respect you. Instead of burning you with a $700 bill for a 2 hour job, they should point you in the right direction like we are going to.

1: plastic-dip them $20, do it yourself. Can be returned to oem if you change your mind.
2: go to home depot, get some red scotch-brite, scuff em up a bit. $20 for paint, spray them the color of your choice.

Call it a day and take the $680 you saved and buy yourself a super 150, single breasted tropical wool suit in a solid China blue and a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths in navy suede and be the sharpest guy with the sharpest car at your local watering hole. You'll still have just enough left over for a 15 year old Pinch and soda for two.

How's that for advice? We aim to please here.
