Thanks for asking as I did send an inquiry to Andy after your post.
He replied almost immediately and here is his message.
Hi Kevin:
thanks for your email.
Here we have gone backt work normally as usual.
The package has left China for USA
I think you will receive it soon
Thanks for your supports.
Best Regards
Andy
No change on the tracking data yet but it looks like at least where Andy is that China has gone back to work.

Sorry Not yet!
With the slowdown in everything I have a car stuck in my shop waiting on parts (Not my XJ but a Friends MB) and can't get started yet on my XJ project. I did receive the USB extension so I can put the USB port in the center console.
Ready to get started and report back. Hoping it will work good too.

Sorry for not reporting back!!
I have a 2014 XJR and documented my install in detail here;
Anadroid Install into XJR
We sure could use some Android programming help too! A great unit but the software/interface is the weak spot. Clunky/poor chinese done software but they have integrated it very well
with the stock system so you still have 100% of the stock functions which is absolutely what I wanted. It adds a bunch of stuff and takes away very little.
You can see the good and bad points in the thread I posted.
Have had it running a month+ with no problems of any kind. Be aware you will receive zero as in no paperwork at all and nothing to show you the install.
But we have a few installs now in the F -Type/XJ forums that you can read to get a better understanding of the mod.
But I am very happy with it and it's now on me to get all the software loaded and decide what to use!

Yes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both are included.
Yes read my install summary. The unit is blazing fast with instant screen changes between apps. I have had 30 or so apps open at the same time and it's still fast. The hardware is top notch it's the software as always that's behind. If we could get some kind of fast boot or hibernate state it would fix the time delay booting the system up.
Android 9.0 operating system with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
You can see more specs here in their ad;
Android Screen
Reading about the car launcher app I plan to try that too. If we could get the unit to boot directly into a certain app that would also be a great step forward.
In my thread we have someone from S. Korea who seems to be very knowledgeable about what needs to be done but nothing of use yet.

Factory Unit?
Hey guys, so I recently got a 2017 F-Type SVR and the car is awesome, but the entertainment system feels like it was made 15 years ago. I was wondering, can we not just take the factory unity out of a 2019/2020 model and retrofit that into a 2017? If that was possible, we would get a factory quality device rather than some aftermarket product. It is probably easy to get one out of a totaled vehicle from a junkyard.
What do you guys think?

Yes all steering wheel buttons work as stock. This just lays on top of the stock system so the car has no idea that you have installed anything or that anything is different from stock.
One difference is when your in the stock screen you can't change the screen size using your fingers like you can anywhere else on the Android unit. I forget that and try to make the stock navigation bigger with my fingers and instead must use the size button.
One small thing I noticed is I think they mapped the screen to the button overlay a bit off. I seem to need to touch the buttons a hair below the center of the button. At first I thought the unit was slow but then understood my fingers were causing the problem.

So the one from Carnavie Technology is the only way to go for an upgrade? When I last looked into it I read that some car functionality was lost when people converted, That they needed a dongle for CarPlay. and I don't think it was suitable for 2017 models. Have they resolved these issues with the latest version do you know?
Thanks
Jeff

Fits my 17MY coupé

If you have a Coupé and a Harman system it’s an easy installation.
