Thanks for your quick reply 😊👍
Strange that I have MY2017 as I bought the car in 02/2016
So I suppose that I have to wait a little bit as the Harman System is still under developpement .
Thanks

was waiting for cambo to post in here as our resident tech expert

Cars in the 2016-2017MY with the 770W Meridian kept the IAM2.1 infotainment, VIN's K22185 to K47319. The homescreen was changed but it's still IAM2.1 "Bosch"

my vin ending 30638 with the 770w should be good for this android unit then - just need confirmation they have a RHD specific face plate/bracket

Then you will be out of luck for the time being.
Paul
That looks very much like the 2016-2017 IAM2.1 770W Meridian with the updated home screen, notice the top of the homescreen has the same lines, clock, Valet button, etc. same as the older one in post #90 of this thread.

The NLI "Harman" is different across the top of the home screen.

The 2 Paul has posted, the latest 10" widescreen and there was this 8"

Anyhow, the VIN ranges and audio spec 380W vs 770W define what you have.

The other giveaway is your navigation maps, if you have an SD Card slot with the maps on it, you have NLI "Harman", the IAM2.1 "Bosch" never had SD Cards.

I have 380w Meridian on RHD 17MY with sd card for map. It looks identical to this one.

Not sure if this is the same Jenny that some of us have been talking to, but this video appears to be from her own YouTube account:

Unit should be sent out via DHL from China tomorrow, and I should have it by next week. They are testing it on an F-Type before sending it to me. Will do all the due diligence hopefully by next weekend!

The version for the X351 has been out for about a year. It has been discussed on the XJ forum recently.

Now I'm little bit confused . If, for the moment the only version available is the Bosch Unit , so why they are selling a Harman Unit here : Jaguar F-TYPE ,,JAGUAR,Shenzhen Merryway Technology Co., Ltd.

All I can say is that Jenny said they are still testing the Harman unit.

That's the one I got incuding an SD Card.
So, I will have to wait until the end of testing
Let's hope :-)

Here is another video of the Merryway unit in a Range Rover. But this one appears to have a somewhat different software:

What do you make of that video I posted above? It appears to be the same hardware, but a different software.

I think we are at a point where we don't know what we don't know. Once I receive the unit and do the guide/review over the weekend, I'll go into a lot of depth of the usage. Also, for the potential group buy, I would hope to lock down the version/software combination so there are no surprises when they start getting sent out. Fingers crossed that it has everything we want! This would put the F-Type 'back in the game' technologically speaking.

I get mine tomorrow and plan on doing the install, I'll post a before video of normal 'driving' usage on the current system, and one with the new system later in the night/next day.
