Black calipers were a $450 option on the R. Red was standard.

As LynxFX says - it's an option.
I bought it second hand, and it came rather loaded. Not shure I would have paid for all the options myself had I ordered it new. But I am happy that they came as part of the package.

PS: this small "black box" on the left is for the Norwegian toll road tax system, and is originally white. That did not look good, so he paintet it matte black for me. I like that kind of details

Stunningly beautiful and amazing what a difference that made. Unfortunately, it's way too pretty to drive now.

Just been out driving it 100 miles, and I felt pain when the first bug hit the hood

On the positive side, it's very easy now to wipe off

The paint, the PAINT! The wheels, the WHEELS!. Gosh that is gorgeous, and almost hard to believe just from the photos; it must be stunning in person. I am waiting for mine, also in IRR, to arrive in September. Can it look that good? Possibly? Thanks for educating me.

Fabulous job! I also have IRR and it is such a sweet color when done up right. I just wish it would stay that way longer. LA air is quite harsh on paint. I left a car once parked on the street for 3 weeks. I would swear it looked like I had abandoned the car for a couple years based on the thickness of the guck that accumulated.

Was planning to mount a radar detector suction cup in the open dot matrix area to the left of the mirror housing, but was concerned that maybe this area was off limits for some reason or was utilized by some other factory-installed monitoring feature. I see you have a black box mounted in yours, and assume that my idea is this ok. Any thoughts, my fellow F-Typers?

The box I have mounted there is for Norwegian Toll Roads. It's originally white, but the detailer painted it matte black for me
Not caused any problems, and I don't think this area is of any use no matter which options.

Thank you, Arne. That's what I was hoping to be the case.

Arne, Thank you for the idea. I have a white toll transmitter mounted in that area as well and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Painted flat black it will blend right in.

It does look like it is a original part of the car now, so I am very happy with that "modification"
