Technically the F-Type's AWD system is very heavily rear biased and you can still throw the rear out when needed. But the AWD has an advantage over RWD in AutoX.

...except maybe to get the power down through the front wheels coming out of corners after braking (where the weight is pushed on to the front), where they would have the advantage over the torquey RWD V8s. At least that was my excuse for being smashed up by a WRX when I was in my XKR.

As an avid AWD autocrosser, I have to disagree with this, especially with the F Type. I think having AWD in this car would be a tremendous advantage given how much power the car has. The F will perform poorly at the best of times in an autocross (AWD or RWD) due to weight, but having that front end power can really help offset the power delivery issues and increase (what I call) the chuckability factor
