Default dip mirrors. Don't dip

I have the option to set my mirrors to dip on the dash menu, but my mirrors do not dip in reverse. Is this feature an additional option? Or am i doing something wrong to get them to work...i severely miss this feature.

Did they ever dip before?

If not when you put it in reverse, you need to set the mirror to where you like it and save it to the seat memory position. Then it should dip to that position everytime.

Seat memory and auto-dip were options bundled into one of the expensive packages in '14-'15 base cars. I don't think you could order those a la carte.

It (right mirror only) undips if you go more than 5MPH in reverse, but I doubt that's the issue. When it's in the dipped position, you can adjust its position, which will be remembered next time it dips. Perhaps the dipped position is adjusted nearly the same as the undipped?

With auto-dip on, put it in reverse, adjust the right mirror, then take it out of reverse. See if it moves.

As the others have said...
1) Make sure feature is enabled (via touchscreen)
2) Put car in R
3) Adjust RIGHT mirror down while in R
4) Go to D; Right side mirror should return to its original position. You can readjust at this point

5) Go have fun!

called jag service. waited for them to call me back. went back and reread the Manuel...discovered by pushing the right and left mirror buttons together the mirrors retracted...and guess what? after doing this once my mirror now dips. Hallelujah. Service calls me back at the end of the day...(busy with a customer, for 8 hours.) and tells me he's not sure if my car has dip mirrors (he has my build sheet), but if i did retracting the mirrors would cause them to reset and then they might work. Thanks.
