Do all V6 R-Dynamics have interior ambient lighting?
I’m currently looking at buying a 2018/19 R-Dynamic P340. I noticed that in some adverts, the car has ice blue interior lighting under grab handles, around dials/buttons and under door handles however some adverts there appears to be no ambient lighting. I’m aware that there is a configurable option but I’m not interested in that. I just want to know if the standard ice blue/red lighting was an extra feature when being spec’d from factory. Cheers

In a v-6 base/premium
I have a US version 2017 V6 base with Premium upgrade and manual transmission, Vision Pack and pano roof. I bought this car in 2020, and noticed that there are LED lens strips under the door handles and under the center grab handle. I only had the Monroney sticker to go on, and nothing there indicated that blue lighting. I did some research on this forum and it seemed that it hadn't been enabled. My JLR tech dove in to some module and got it working. On one hand, It didn't make sense that the led strips would be there and just not active , but on the other hand, did Jaguar put those in all cars, but only activate it in certain trim levels? The doors and grab handle are the only areas that have the blue lighting. The footwells and other areas just have standard white. There is no option to change the lighting color in the settings.

I learned a few things, mainly:
1. No-one makes or sells Phosphor Blue LED globes/bulbs.
2. The nearest match is Ice Blue, very close but not exact, literally millions of sellers.
3. Most such LED interior globes are T10 W5W which is the right size/type for Jag footwell globes.
4. T10 W5W come in three main types - multi-chip SMD, Cree and Chip On Board (COB).
5. COB is by far the best - easiest to fit, best light and longest lasting.
A quick search of eBay Motors brings up plenty of hits for Ice Blue T10 W5W including this interesting listing:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/15425637189...Bk9SR7Kz1q2IZA
These are advertised as switchable between white and ice blue but exactly how you do that is not clear, although it says in the fine print
"T10 dual-color LED, reverse polarity, two different color display, one lamp, let you have two
different color experience, switch at any time...".
So it seems that you switch between white and blue by reversing the polarity, which means you take them out, turn them 180 degrees and plug them back in again.I put bright white COB globes in the footwell lights of my F-Type some seven years ago now and they have performed perfectly ever since and are waaaay better than the sickly yellow stock halogen globes.
Only one hassle - the globes are a bit of a PITA to get at and it helps to be a 90 lb contortionist which I ain't!

There was a good YT video on replacing the footwell bulbs. I just went with warm white. You do have to push/press some plastics to get the bulb in on the (US) right/passenger side and I squiggled in with head in footwell and feet on the headrest. Helped to have spouse as asst. to hand me the bulb as it took 2 hands. Drivers side went it in 10 seconds I don't have the access to the Topix feature info, but I think I've figured out most of what is on this car.
