So if the Jag is on the bottom bunk does that mean it gets taken out more often ;-) ?

Ok, what do you trade a jag for at a Mercedes dealership? And how much do you add to your ante?

The only two I'd consider would be an SL63/65 AMG or an AMG GT....and since I like 'verts I'd scratch off the GT.

Merc makes a convertible version of the GT. You might have a hard time getting your hands on one right now though.

On the topic of lemons... For future readers of this thread...

In California, a lemon is a car that's been in repair at the dealer for 30+ days, or had the same reoccurring issue 4 times. The issues in question need to affect the safety or functionality of the car, but it's hard to say what issues fall in this category.

You need to check for your state laws, but IIRC a few other states have similar laws.

Finally, some states have lemon law lawyers, and the legit ones don't charge the car owner. They get their money from the manufacturer.
bonus data: you can request the manufacturer to replace your car instead of giving you money back. If you don't get a lawyer involved, they may be more willing to give you a replacement, even on a leased car.

source: lemon lawed my first f type, and talked to a helpful lawyer who advised me to go it alone and request a replacement

Interesting thread for me as I bought my f type off of a MB lot. The previous owner traded it in and ordered a sl65 amg. Purchased my 2014 in oct of 2015 with 3,000 miles on it.

The SL63 starts at $150k, not a price contender as an alternate to the f type.

I am aware......and it's one of the reasons the F type is in my garage rather than the SL.....plus the F type offers better performance.

Cheers,
Dave

Ok, so the thread has been totally high-jacked from the lemon question but...I had to share.

My wife's car wasn't ready for pick up at the MB delivery center in Sindelfingen, Germany so - they gave her a new SL65 AMG to drive around Europe and delivered her little E400 cabriolet 3 days later in route of our driving tour.

So I can say I drove a 2016 SL65 on the autobahn at 150mph.

She had the option to keep the SL65 for two weeks and they would immediately ship her car to the states but she wanted to take photos with "her" car in Europe.

We downgraded from 12 cylinders to 6 but picked up a back seat and storage space.

Mine was an SLK55 AMG.

The C63 is the wife's car.
