The exact reason why I've been discouraging forum members from racing their street cars in competitive events. I crashed two perfectly good street cars (a Lamborghini and twin turbo RX-7) before I finally realized that racing should be reserved for dedicated race cars. They are far easier to repair and won't loose their total value as a street car will when its crashed.

It's notable that the chassis took the hit really well (maybe too well...Not much absorptive crumple) and the driver was able to get out of the car safely.
The F-Type is exempt from crash testing in the US because of small volume, so it's scary but interesting to see a real life example of how the car handled a full rollover and shunt impact.

I sure hope the guy in the video has the bucks to handle his racing habit... I felt sorry for him as it must have really been a painful experience to crash such a nice car.
Actually, my stint at Homewood raceway in Miami with the Jaguar team after I first got my XKR was a blast and now that I have the FtypeR, I'm tempted to go again... so I do get the attraction to wide open racing opposed to the numbing low speed limits and cop on every corner that we get here.
Lawrence.
