Yesterday afternoon on my way home from work, I had a guy in a VW Golf pull up next to me at a stop light and revved his engine. It sounded just like you'd think. I looked at him and smiled then ignored him as he continued to rev. At the green light, he floored it for at least a hundred yards. I drove as normal, smiling to myself at this guy's foolishness as he drove away. What was this guy's thinking?
I have noticed that people tend to follow me more closely in the Jag then any other car I've owned and I don't care for that. I don't react but do try to change lanes if possible to give me more space.

A couple of weeks ago on I-57 south just past Chicago city limits a guy in a M8 with Mississippi plates gave me the thumbs up and I reciprocated, then it was the head nod and we both planted it, sometimes you just have to go

When you drive a fast looking high performance car people assume you got it to go fast and drive sporty. Else youd get the slow car. So get used to it. Whyd you get it if not to go fast and look sporty? if youre gonna drive like grandpa in a fast car you gotta wonder why
Fast cars are to be driven fast at the right time at the right place. Otherwise you loose your license and probably the car too !

The idiot driver is one aspect of the same branch of petty foolishness that goes with having anything nice nowadays, or indeed being confident or successful as a person. The idiots are are reacting to their own insecurities and misplaced assumptions. Pity the fool.

Not much different than when I drive the C7 Corvette. The pickup drivers seem to be the worst.. merging from an on-ramp, even though that PU driver could move over, won't and does what s/he can to make my entry difficult. Then there are the drivers who hang on the left rear corner, checking the car out???, so I just downshift and floor it to get away from them. Don't seem to get much attitude like that when I drive the E-type.

Good point on the E-Type, with mine folks, wave as they pass but no one tries to race me, they treat me with respect, and they seem to be having nearly as much fun watching the car as I am driving it (and when I was having issues, maybe more fun). The F-Type I have folks that want to race me and even in the I-Pace and they aren't Tesla drivers, but the E-Type just seems to bring the best out of people. Go figure...
