Florida has more people with "carry permits", otherwise known as concealed weapons, than any other state. Looking cross-eyed or, as you may remember, throwing popcorn at someone in a movie theater will get you shot. I think owning a gun here says more about police response time than anything else. If someone breaks into your house you could be dead by the time the police arrived.

As far as valet parking, I used it all the time in LA but, as someone else mentioned, the valets in LA are used to parking VERY expensive cars and I think enjoyed it. Where I live now the few places that have valet parking seem to hire anyone to park the cars and have a huge turnover. I do not let them park my F-Type.

I do not valet. They will not take responsibility for the car or it's contents. They give me zero trust and I will return the same level of trust.

I do valet. Only in places where self-parking is impossible. However I also have a GPS and motion tracker which can alert my phone directly if the car leaves the facility, and I tip heavily (>$20) in advance along with a request that they take special care.

Would prefer not to valet, but there are some places I have to park for work where there is really no choice. And it's by far the best option at the airport so yes I do but won't if it is easily avoidable.
If you think thats nuts you should see whats in my trunk

I didn't think the trunk was large enough for a missile launcher or flame thrower!

On that note, will a hunting rifle fit?

A Kalashnikov will. Heck, if it will fit a couple of golf bags it'll hold a flamethrower AND a rocket launcher.

I tried putting my Beretta 12 gauge under/over shotgun and it did not fit. I had to break it down.

2 x SBR's (short barrel rifles) with attached suppressors extending length 4 inches and about 2.5k rounds of 300blk ammo and an ammo can of 1k 9mm rounds along with two gun bags and chest rigs fits perfectly in the trunk. The little indentation in the trunk for the flat tire kit etc. has plenty of room and fits ammo cans perfectly as if it was designed for it

No no no. You're doing it wrong. You can valet your car. But when getting out take the fun out of the glovebox, wave it (without pointing it) at the valet and tell him to look after your car. Then take the gun with you.

Yehaeh no kidding, maybe that's because people are carrying handguns in their freakin cars, where they can easily reach them when they get angry.

On the one hand, there are crazies who can't control themselves.

On the other hand, people are more restrained when it's possible that the
harmless granny they hassle could just as easily pop a cap on them.

As for valet mode, all Jaguar's all have it ... it's called limp mode.
Unfortunately, it's not user controllable.

I've just been reading the 2016 Owners Manual, and it appears that the updated InControl Apps may include a very limited data logger.

InControl Remote Smartphone App
The InControl Remote Smartphone App has a number of different features, that are displayed on the different screens listed:
• The vehicle's status screen will display the vehicle's current fuel level, fuel range and
odometer reading; and a vehicle locator display, to help find the last parked location
of the vehicle. The current security status of the vehicle will also be shown. Any
current vehicle warnings will also be displayed. Touch the warning on the screen
for further information.
• The Vehicle Security screen will display the open/closed status of all the
doors/windows, and allow the vehicle to be locked/unlocked.
This screen will also display the vehicle's alarm status, e.g., set or not set.
Note: Regardless of which screen is currently displayed, if the vehicle's alarm is
sounding, then a pop-up screen will appear with an option to reset the alarm. The alarm
may also be reset via the Vehicle Security screen.
Note: It remains the responsibility of the driver to know the location of the vehicle
and to make sure that the vehicle is secured.
• The Journeys screen will display the most recent journeys completed in the vehicle.
Note: This feature can be enabled/disabled via the Settings screen.
Note: The stored journeys can be viewed, deleted, or downloaded as a .csv file to
assist with business expenses

Would be interested to see how detailed the "recent Journey's Completed" output is. Might be interesting to review when Valeting, or even when a family member takes the car out for a spin...

Those of us that live here in a free country (texas) have self control of our emotions and don't go on a shooting spree because of simple access to an inanimate object.

Limiting the RPM may turn into a road hazard and i think this is why the manufacturers avoid it.

Imagine trying to take a left on a busy road with the engine not reeving past 2,500 RPM.

The Valet better not be taking my car on a busy road. I mean, from the restaurant, bar, hotel, club entrance to the front valet spot where they better park my car involves moving about 100 feet or less.

Even the new Hellcat has 2 keys. One limits the output to 500 hp, the other (red key) allows a full 700 +
