Does anyone else know how to replace the Weird 2013 Park Button?
I have a 2013 Park button, which is not like the 2014+ Therefore when I tried to buy a replacement, and I bought the same park button every other f-type owner seems to have- the replacement doesn't fit because its not just the print, the shape and function of the park button is different. I found out from talking to another owner who spoke to JLR, that 2013 F-types have this and the only option is to replace the entire shifter.
I am looking for any options before I replace the entire shifter over a worn P button which is silly to me. Maybe another model has the same shifter? Or some aftermarket company sells a sticker?

In what way is the function different? Have you tried to remove your existing button? In terms of the shape they look the same to me, but on the other hand, there must have been some reason for the elimination of the black circle. Is there any chance of gently polishing the button? But it seems to have finger nail damage....another possibility would be to do the reverse procedure: instead of polishing to remove a top layer, you could ADD a layer of clear gloss polyurethane to it, effectively smoothing the surface.
The replacement of the later button (which has no black circle) is as simple as opening a jar of marmelade...but in this case you just gently pry (prise) the front edge up and then it pops off. The new button simply snaps in place.

I don't understand when you say 'the function is different'. Should just be a plastic piece that snaps into place. Nothing fancy from what I recall replacing my own a while back.
NM - sorry, didn't read close enough - your model year is a 2013. Strange.

I may just try to glue the new button in with some sugru or something, but I thought maybe someone else solved the issue.
More annoying than the fingernail marks is the top of the button is worn all the way through so the top of the button "glows" at night. Not a huge deal, but everything else is in such great shape I really want to keep this in great shape too.

And many of us here me included have replaced their F-Type P button (the later version which is no good to the OP) with the Land Rover version which is identical, much cheaper and much easier to find!
