Does anyone know if the Eventuri intake is legit?

On mine the original limit was 6800 and I believe it is now 7000. Definitely needed with the MT, as I was always bouncing off the rev limiter. 6800 just isn't a sweet spot for a shift. 7k is perfect. An extra 200 rpm is not going to hurt. I'm not certain about 400.

RE: dyno graphs on post #45...
isn't this the first dyno we've had published on a V6 with both pulleys swapped, VAP tune AND 200-cell cats?
I know it's sacrilegious/impossible to compare dyno graphs but... are we able to see what effect the 200-cell cats have over unhingd's setup for example? (tune, both pulleys, stock cats).

Interesting. sgvkirbster saw 5hp gains with this intake.

Hahaha. Actually it's about 7-9 HP. But yes, point being it made way less HP than advertised. So if you're expecting anywhere near the claimed 30 HP increase, you'll be disappointed. Perhaps if u dynoed on a DynoJet or even a Mustang Dyno MAYBE (emphasis on maybe), you'll see a more significant increase. However, the increase in HP is only at peak, not throughout the range. So whatever dyno u test it on, it will only show an increase around 6,000 RPM.

At least two other threads on increasing the F-Type SC noise, see here
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...ight=resonator
and here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...ight=resonator
Also several threads/posts on the same topic in the XF section.
To summarize, the Eaton TVS R series blower is designed to be quiet with very little "whine" and there isn't a helluva lot you can do to increase the whine enough to hear it over the exhaust.
Many have fitted after-market induction tubing kits (including me!) such as the TCP kit to their SC XFs (eg XFR) but the jury is out on whether that really increases the SC whine. I for one couldn't detect any real increase but others claim to have done so. There is no equivalent kit for the F-Type yet (the F-Type induction tubing is very different to the XF) although Mina Gallery have had one "in the pipeline" for several months.
A few XF owners have chopped off and sealed the Helmholtz resonators (L shaped protuberances) on the OEM intake tubes (3 on the XF, 2 on the F-Type) and claimed this has increased the SC whine a bit. You could try the same thing on the F-Type (see the schematic, item #9, in post #1 of the second linked thread above).
With all these XF mods I'm of the opinion that any actual or perceived increase in SC whine is really a slight increase in induction roar, as I struggle to see how modifying the intake effects SC whine.

Perhaps you could figure out how to modify the symposer. Wonder if this is still installed on current cars.

Modify the symposer? Disable it. See what you think. I'd forgotten how much I disliked it until you brought back memories. After I initially disabled it I bought a valve so I could manually switch it (manually, under the hood) but I never installed it because it I haven't missed it even the slightest bit. The sound is wonderful without that abomination.
