I have an F type R in Italian Racing Red and I get a little more attention than I care for at times.. so you can have some of mine.
What gets tiresome to me is people driving up next to me continually to check out the car and the slow crawl driving around my car when I park somewhere... attention is fine, but it gets tiresome after the tenth time in a day.
Friends with 'Gullwings', and Lambo's get some looks, but this is different .. its sort of like someone ogling a beautiful women, but to the point where it gets a bit weird at times.. they won't go away.

It all depends on where you are. Is your city filled with Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Lotus, Bentley, Rolls, Lamborghini, and McLaren cars driving around? If so then it might not be that noticeable. It'll still get noticed but I wouldn't say it stands out as much in that environment. However if those type of vehicles are rare then yes you'll probably get even more attention.
In Denver, I got a lot of attention even as I was driving. People pulling up along side, thumbs up, rubber necking etc. In Los Angeles, I don't get that much attention when driving. Most people don't give a second look. However when I'm parked I still get the occasional conversation starter or "beautiful car" call out.

Considering the cost of the car relative to a Ferrari or Lamborghini, the amount of attention it gets is very high. There are numerous threads here on the forum speaking to exactly this point.

In Los Angeles, an F type Coupe R is certainly a lot rarer than Ferraris, Lambos, and Porsches (even McClarens) so they garner quite a bit of attention when you see them. Ferraris, Maseratis, Lamborghinis, and Porsches are everywhere in Southern Californa, so there's nothing "special" about them out here.

This car gets plenty of attention as its simply very beautifully designed by that wizard Ian Callum. However its the right kind of attention, generally from people that appreciate cars and beautiful lines.
It is not loud, brash, overpriced, hyped and extreme looking like most Ferrari's & Lamborghini's are these days.
If you want you could buy an F-Type and vinyl wrap it bright purple or green and it'll get the same kind of attention from people that know nothing about cars.
Good luck with that.
