Default does the v8s open exhaust get louder the more you drive the car?

I think it's louder after a 100 mile drive than it is after a 5 mile drive? My imagination?

Not sure about louder but after a while I notice a greater difference with active exhaust on and off than when I first got the car. Nothing noticed in relation to the length of the drive. But I will pay attention to it now and see.

Exhaust systems take around 1k to fully break in. The insides get coated with the black soot you see on the tips and it adds to the loudness and deepens a small part.

Koan for the day:

If an F-Type is parked in a garage, for the winter, does it still make a sound?

I bet if you listen close enough, you can here it saying "drive me... drive me... drive me..." Unless your have the 770w meridian system, then you hear "drive me *rattle*... drive me *rattle*.... drive me *rattle*..."

Touche.

Not to, eh, rattle that thread here but I do have the 770w system and while I feel the bass behind my seat, I do not have any sort of rattle coming from the door. Besides, and here's the funny thing, I LOVE listening to music while driving BUT...not in this car. I, and others, have said it many times here, the melodious sounds coming from the exhaust is simply - in the words of Jeremy Clarkson - intoxicating.

If you really want to feel the music, wear ear plugs and boost the volume to like 45-50. I do that in my convertible and even with just the 380w system (which is still a ton of power) I can literally feel the music. It must be annoying for others at stop lights though.

I think the V8S with active exhaust on gets louder after a while because eventually, the blood stops pouring out of your ears.

I'm just messing with the unfortunate problem a lot of owners are having that, if unfixed in the 2016 MY will force me take a used one on the lot I can prove doesn't have a problem.

While listening to wonderful exhaust will be the prime sound, there are times when you need to crank the volume and enjoy your favorite playlist. Nothing better than cruising to some great beats in a sexy car, top down and hearing that drop and off to 100+mph you go

Default Eleven. Exactly. One louder

One thing I've also noticed with my car is that while it's obviously always loud, there is the odd occasion that it does seem even louder than normal.

Maybe Spinal Tap had some input into the design of the active exhaust, and sometimes we get to experience the full "11"....

I can believe that...on the occasions when I've pulled the car into the garage after being in dynamic mode with the exhaust open I can really smell it compared to normal mode!
