Dual Exhaust to QUAD Exhaust: DONE

Dual Exhaust to QUAD Exhaust: DONE
So awhile back I tossed around with the idea of converting my V6 exhaust to a V8 setup as I like the wider stance it gave the car visually. There were a few things to consider:
-V8 valance needed
-V8 muffler needed
-V8 exhaust valve vacuum lines needed (V6 ones are too short)
-Reverse lights need to be modified as the mounting points are different for the V6 and the V8 valances.
-The exhaust piping leading to the V6 muffler uses a premuffler/resonator. The exhaust piping leading to the V8 muffler uses an X-pipe.
I managed to source the V8 valance and V8 muffler assemblies. Before I had a chance begin swapping everything, I had an opportunity to work with a local company in developing a full cat back exhaust for the V6 along with a one piece fiberglass valance.
Everything is still in a prototype phase so I won't say too much. Construction is full stainless steel. But let me know what you guys think!

You are absolutely right. One might argue that when the valves are open it does not "close" the longer, quieter part of the exhaust but the gases will go through the shorter, less restricted, open valve path and literally none will go through the more restricted path.

White Tardis, a really good looking set up (mostly) and from the clips you've retained all of the noise we love so much about the V6 ...
I wrote mostly, and understanding this is at prototype stage, because for me the diffusor exposing the exhaust boxes is a no-no. It shouts aftermarket mod to me. If the development work hides the shining metal work, for me this would be a must have accesory ...
Really nicely done ...

In all likelihood there would be no noticeable performance change. This exhaust didn't really make it more free flowing in any way, you still have the same bottlenecks.

The design of this exhaust was more for aesthetics. We did use a slightly more wider diameter piping though.

Can someone explain to me the history of when a quad tip started to be more aesthetically pleasant than dual, and why? I have zero agenda or opinion here, just don't identify or get quad. It seems more of a ricer or BMW meathead look??
EDIT: I THINK IT LOOKS SO GOOD ON THE ABOVE PICS. I do. I am not trying to be rude, or say "my opinion" is right. I am suggesting that my opinion doesn't mean anything, and curious as to when quad guys started liking quad and why?
