Dynamic vs Normal suspension mode...do you feel a big differences?
Hello,
I recently picked up a 2016 v6s coupe. I'm coming from a 911(997.1) and in that car there was a huge change in ride when you changed the suspension settings. In the F-type I feel like it's almost no change at all. Just wanted to make sure that is normal and not something to get checked out.

ok that makes me feel better at least. It was the opposite in the 911, Normal mode unless the road was perfect.

I can sometimes tell the difference, but have had passengers note it. "Ride is pretty stiff." I push a button and "How about now?" "Yeah, that's better."
There are some places I definitely can tell, but it's mostly places where the bad pavement is not conducive to spirited driving, yet I do it anyway.

I feel a big difference in mine, but only on sub par roads eg where the bitumen has been patched multiple times. It is the difference between it absorbing the bumps (between suspension and seat) and being jiggly, though it isnt crashy. I found this on both the 19"s and the 21"s though the ride is slightly firmer on the 21"s anyway. It improves with speed, though.

It's always felt different to me. I have VAP springs installed and use the Normal suspension setting most of the time and it makes the ride surprisingly comfortable and forgiving. It's only if I'm on a road with deep dips in the pavement or on high speed runs when Dynamic suspension mode is necessary to help the struts to keep up the pace.

My roads are so bad (street/track/autox) that the car never sees Dynamic mode for suspension. It is quite noticeable when engaged, and whenever I turn it on just to be different, I always get annoyed and turn it back off pretty quick. Definitely does not add to the already spectacular driving experience!
I'm probably just getting old

As most folk have mentioned - On the street the feeling is subtle, but noticeable.
At speeds >100mph around turns, the difference is very noticeable (I speak from experience on the Millbrook high Speed Bowl proving ground in the UK). On smooth tracks , it works a treat at appearing to lower the roll rate a small amount, or that could just been me and the placebo effect!
