Dyno video and next steps...
Gents -
Thought you all would get a kick out of this, impromptu dyno of the F-Type. It was on a Mustang Dyno, so as expected the numbers were low at 501rwhp. BUT - it has run 11.44 @ 124mph - so the power is there.
Got that number so we could see how the car responds to a few things in the works.
1) Blower & snout are currently off and getting ported
2) Methanol Injection
3) Nitrous - wet shot, progressive controller, dedicated fuel cell
4) Re-tune it on the dyno - don't think my Vmax tune will be up to the challenge any longer (btw, I haven't heard from those guys in ages...)
Will it run deep in the 10s? Will it run 170mph in the 1/2 mile?! Will it melt?!
Come to Atco Raceway in just a couple weeks to find out! hahaa...
I'll have dyno results and track results for all those "stages", in case you guys are interested in going down a similar path. Well, maybe just the ported blower part

I know this is common step in tuning. Usually justified by claiming improved flow and smoother, more responsive power delivery.
If you happen to have this, could you post curves pre and post port&polish?

Schwabe - good luck man - I'll be pulling for you in that event. Would LOVE to see you trap 155-157 there!
SinF - Yeah, it probably frowns on nitrous, etc. too Seriously though, I'm pretty sure they're talking about running E85, etc. in the tank as the main fuel. This will essentially be a 50/50 (or maybe 70/30) methanol / water mix. Really used for cooling, not fueling the car. Not concerned about it.
Oh yes, don't worry - i'll post pre and post porting curves, pulls, etc. It was one of my stipulations when agreeing to all this ridiculousness.

I'm excited to see the results too. Don't worry - we'll have plenty of pulls, curves, etc. to post up.
Jim - I'll def shoot you a message. Would be nice to see more owners there.
JagSTR2004 - I think we're going to end up with an AEM methanol system and nitrous setup from Nitrous Outlet
haha...while I can't necessarily disagree with Mr. Unhingd - hopefully, I have the "driver mod" taken care of After that...good question. I mean, unless we can crack the torque limiting part of the ECU - I'll rule out the rear diff.
I may or may not already be thinking about the engine part and wondering what Proline could do for me, if things went horribly awry. I mean, assuming Jaguar doesn't warranty it! hahaaa.... really though - if a rod finds its way out of the engine, mods - delete this thread and you guys don't know me!

Yeah, I'm pretty excited to see the results too I'll be the guinea pig for all you guys. I'm using a shop here in Cherry Hill, NJ - Powerhaus - so far - they've been really great to work with.
The *plan* is to use it just for cooling - so I wouldn't have worry about fail safe's, or the car freaking out if something went wrong with the injection system.
Should start to see results come in late next week!
