Eco - flashing "d"

I've been purposely letting eco-mode do it's thing a lot lately when I'm crawling in gridlocked, stop and go traffic. I'm doing it just out of curiosity to see if there were any glitches. Mine's a 10/13 build, and never once has it malfunctioned. Nothing has ever been re-flashed on the car either.

Happened again tonite while simultaneously fiddling with the clutch and stick to inch forward. I'll get them to flash the damned thing after I get the car coated and yank the wires in the meantime. After 3 days, 250 miles on the car. With the next 3 free weekends coming up, I should be able to get past the break-in and into some fun driving within the next 3-4 weeks.

The ECO already crapped out on the 6 speed once yesterday. Despite providing Foosh with some entertainment value, I will claim that it seemed to get confused. I was in the process of playing with the clutch at a stop light to get a better feel for it. Given the info on this forum I was able to launch again quickly with a double press on the ignition button.
So what is it doing? "Crapped out" is not a technical term I understand. I thought it had to be in neutral with the clutch pedal up to engage eco-mode in the manual. I assume it is not "flashing D."

Term was originally coined by a mechanical engineering in the thermo labs at Stanford University back in 1974 while working on an experimental AMC stratified charge engine. The same environment may well have spawned the widespread use of POS as a technical term. Anyone not familiar with the RCH as a unit of measurement may pm me for an explanation.

When this happens, start button has to be pressed twice to restart engine (once to turn off ignition, once to fire the engine back up again.
