After buying 3 different spring compressor tools, and none of them worked! I figured a way to get the last one to work by modifying it. Put the Eibach springs on the passenger front, and decided to check before I did any more....Let the lift down and up a few times so they would settle....The side with the Eibach spring is over 1/2 inch higher that the driver OEM side.
I am needless to say...Not so happy about this. On a good note, it started snowing today, so I can go 4 wheeling in it and likely pass up the Jeeps!
Save yourself some grief and avoid theses springs for a R with AWD....They do not fit! OR lower the car....
Hope this saves someone else the hassle! After I calm down and eat something....I will be re-installing the OEM

I was half expecting this result based on your previous posts. Eibach never bothered to call me back regarding ordering the “correct” ones from Germany which is fine because I’m done with them. This was my third pro kit - the first two were spot-on perfect. I sent mine back the other day and emailed VAP about a set - apparently they are out of stock until the end of the month and I am waiting on clarification about ordering.
The Eibachs appear to be good for off-roading. The H&Rs result in 14.75” front and 15.25” rear for that dimension. Of course, the AWD sits higher naturally.

Yes...Me too...But I had to try it out Hopefully save others the misery. These are almost impossible to get out of the spring compressor too (and by almost impossible, I mean "IMPOSSIBLE"). Due to the spring compressor issues, I have become an expert at removing and re-installing the front end parts...and even removing the rear cargo area upholstery (prepping for rear install)!
Well...I will cool down. Lick my wounds...and then re-consider a plan of attack. I am pretty much expert at many Porsche models...but Jags are new to me, so still learning as I go. Tearing apart higher end cars is how I "relax"...Haha
Good luck!

If you’re so inclined, I would be appreciative for any tips and photos removing the trunk parts. I may do it myself but have the shop fit the coils, but I’m having spinal surgery in the 23rd (depending on the state of the zombie apocalypse) so I will likely be passing the information on to minimize the install time and prevent damage. Thanks.
nobody likes a show off.......I also, like the looks which is why I bought them, apparently you got one of the five correctly made sets for the Type-R ever produced.

I think his is a V6??....or maybe not AWD? They seem to work on those for some reason? Or maybe he got lucky! Nice looking car though.

Sure thing. It is pretty easy. I did not take photos of that part, but there are a few Torx screws, and a lot of plastic and metal compression clips. The emergency (glowing handle) handle on the rear panel can be easily removed after the panel is popped off. There is a small plastic pin that pushes out to allow removal of the cable, then it all just snaps out. Take all the removable covers/panels off first (the ones you can always remove). Then snap off that rear panel and then start snapping off across the top sides (after the one torx each side, under the metal strap loop). They tend to roll out from the bottom for easy removal.Pull out the front bottom corners first when removing the sides. Then there are two pieces of styrofoam (black) covering the tops of the strut bolts.
I will see if I have some better instruction or find some with images and send them to you.(if I find something I will post here also to help others)
Good luck with your surgery.

EDIT:I pulled some pieces/pics together from a manual and put them in PDF in sequence here for you.

Yea mines the 4 pot, think im the first to lower one, the springs for the V6 work spot on and ive H&R 15mm Wheel Spacers 305/30/20 rears 265/35/20 fronts no issues, picture below was before lowering, then lowered
Still dicking around with Eibach on a possible refund through the reseller. I went ahead and just ordered the VAP springs via a link from Stuart on this forum. Will report back when received and installed!
And potentially create another DIY document for those that may want to try it.
I bought mine from carid back in November and they weren’t excited about taking them back but they listened to my phone call when ordering and realized that the salesperson made a mistake. Now I’m off to order from VAP or H&R. No rush as the shop I was going to use is closed and my neck surgery was postponed so I can’t do it myself for a while. Hope you have some luck getting them returned.
All this hassle with the Eibach springs makes me kinda glad about the choice I made two and half years ago.
I was tossing up between Eibach and VAP and a previous member on another forum advised me to go with the Eibachs (his son has a connection to the Oz supplier), and the Eibachs were also a fair bit cheaper. I also had fitted Eibachs to my old XFS and they went on with no hassles at all and gave the exact same drops front and rear as advertised. But for various reasons I went with the VAP springs instead, seems now like a good choice!
But is it only the Eibach's for the V8 that has this issue, or are the V6 ones also affected? I'm about to get a lowering kit meant mostly for improved handling on the track, and I remember receiving the advice last year for my F-Type R to go with the Eibach's for this purpose...

You could be right and maybe the V6 springs are OK and only the V8 versions are problematic.
Time for some who have fitted Eibachs to a V6 to chime in.
