Engine Failure

I have a 2014 F-Type with 24,369 miles, It was my father in laws car, He had several over the last 15 years of his life but this one was his baby.
I Have had it for 5 years, only driven 2000 miles a year, garage kept.
I'm going to keep it simple in explaining what happened.
My wife had the car, It would not crank one morning , she call AAA to jump it and it would not turn over, towed to a shop, They said bad starter,
Towed to another shop, they said they tried to bar the engine over and it was frozen, drained the oil and filtered through a blue rag, it turned black and had metal fragments.
I have read of several engine failures in low miles Jaguars. One of which was the same year F-Type and Jaguar replaced the engine for free.
I will be calling Jaguar USA to see if they will help any.

the service history,, oil changer every year by Jaguar dealer until it was out warranty and even after, a new set of tires was mounted at the last oil change and a factory recall was done on the seat belts. That was 3 years ago, the car has not been driven 1000 miles since.
Does anyone know if the engine comes out the top or the bottom ? I am a skilled mechanic, big shop, and have rebuilt a lot of engines.
And anyone know of a source of info on the engine, service manuals, tech manuals?

In my experience, the AJ133S is not repairable since many of the internal parts are not available from JLR. If the engine was overheated, the heads and block are likely warped and no one I know of has been able to get them to reseal properly.
A pushrod GM engine won't pass emissions and the CAN-BUS communication won't work.

Here is a source for an engine that has been completely gone through:
https://text-a-part-auto-jaguar.business.site/
Give them a ring and they can explain what the process is. If memory serves, the owner's name is Keith, but I'm not sure.
Where is your vehicle located?

The engine was not over heated, coolant was at the full mark, it showed no warning lights or codes.
With the GM LS engines, they are stand alone, and will have their own control modules and will only need start and power to its ecm for it to work..
NBCat ,Thanks for the service manual !
I am in no hurry to get it back up and running,,

William7200, get yourself a copy of the AJ133 Technical Training pdf from my Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8y4iax9hm2...%20V8.pdf?dl=0
It's from back in 2009 when the AJ133 first came out but very little has changed since then, the main thing I can think of is the SC bypass valve changed from vacuum operated to electrically operated. And of course the NA version was discontinued a few years ago.
