Engine noise
2017 Jaguar F-Pace 35t R-Sport. Premium fuel used.
First Jaguar I’ve owned and it has had this ticking since I’ve owned it. I’m not sure if this is a normal sound for these engines but it just doesn’t sound right to me. Hard to tell if it’s 2 separate ticking sounds that are synced with idle speed. It’s louder coming from the topside of the engine and possibly a lighter ticking coming from one of the pulleys. Did the best I could just moving the camera around the engine bay to get some insight from someone more familiar with these engines.
Possibly related; I have a check engine codes p2541 and p008a. Both pertaining to a fuel issue. Haven’t noticed any performance issues other that every once and a while it takes a few extra cranks to start.
Thanks!
