Everyone seems to just LOVE the F-Type

I'm sure I'm not alone in this - the amount of compliments I've had about my car since I got it is just staggering.... Can't tell you how many times I've had people talk to me when stopped at the lights about how much they like the car, come up and talk to me in parking lots or gas stations and a fair few that drove alongside to give me a beep and a genuine thumbs up. I know we all bought our cars because of the things that we ourselves loved about it (for me, it was the looks, the noise, the power, and my long time interest in the Jaguar brand) but it's genuinely interesting to me that the car gets so much praise from others.
Have to say I love it, and it just shows you what a spectacular job jaguar did with this car.

Echo your thoughts EXACTLY. All those things have happened to us.
Love the looks of the car, the noise and the whole package.
Just the other day I was driving on a street close to home and I here a female voice yell “Love your car Bro!”
Just about says it all.
I loved my C6 but there were ALOT of them. The F type, very very few----and probably will stay that way.

What you guys are describing is the JAGUAR syndrome. I've had 5 Jags now and got the same admiring responses for each. You might think that people would only be awed by sleek sports cars but, if I had to count the number of people making admiring comments on my cars, I'd say that my '12 XJL is up there with, or above, the sleek XKs that I owned. I think that people in general just admire the Jaguar brand across the board. They are rare to see on the streets, sensuous by design and have a patina to the brand that most other common luxury brands just don't.

Albert,
I agree with you. Of the 30-40 cars I have owned over the past 40+ years including some pretty nice sports cars (de Tomaso Pantera, Datsun 280Z, Cougar Eliminator...), never have I had one that attracts as many admirers as my 2002 XKR. Whether in a parking lot, gas station, or at a stoplight, I receive compliments every day.
I believe a couple of things explain this phenomenon. First, I think Jaguar does an excellent job in terms of design throughout their range. Look at the XF, which is now what would be considered an older design by car standards, it still looks fresh, every other car manufacturer has emulated and incorporated many of its design cues including the new Toyota Avalon, Kia Optima, even the Tesla S, all new designs which have borrowed heavily from Jaguar. Secondly, Jaguar models are so well conceived and so classic in design that they are kept longer with little change than most, if not all other automobile manufacturers' offerings.
The F-type is no exception, beautiful, classic Jaguar lines, luxurious interior, and exceptional performance, will make it just as classic as the other great models in Jaguar history. (In my humble opinion, of course)
