Default Exhaust note

i made a deal yesterday for an f type. The car was exactly what I wanted except, no dynamic exhaust. Loud button.

Dealer said aid they could do nothing to help. It is really a good deal. Really!

it is the 2.0, really drives well.

anyway, can I do anything to improvethe exhaust sound.

The 4 cylinder does not have switchable exhaust. Given the exceedingly low volume sales of that model, you might have to custom fabricate any exhaust replacement. Not likely to find any after market options for sale. Might be different in another couple of years.

Only the 2.0 R-Dynamic comes with the switchable exhaust. On the base 2.0 it is available as an option only (down here at least).

Thanks Don.

actually I am a long term MGB, Spitfire guy. I am from the folks that prefers to go fast in a slow car not slow in a fast car.

i wanted the added nimbleness of the 4.

brought home the f type Monday. Drives really delightful. Such balance.

My 4 pot has twin pipes, got rid of the hideous porsche like tail pipe, took off the rear box off and put straight pipes out, it bangs and pops like mad, job done, i posted a thread on it if you look through the forum, i had the exhaust button, dont use it now.

Well said! Enjoy that car. I'm sure she is beauty! I bought the 6S for same reason you bought the 4. I did not want the extra weight up front.

OK, truth be told, I couldn't afford the 8!
