Exhaust stuck in quiet mode?
#21
It’s past your bedtime. I had forgotten that’s where they are.
When my exhaust valves became squeaky/grindy a couple of years ago, I pulled F43. Mostly liked it, except for excessive highway drone (top up), and much more noise at low revs - had to pussyfoot it through my neighborhood.
Then I got a wireless relay from a guy in the UK, with its own fob. Basically, it connects or disconnects F43 and is installed in that fuse box.
Cheaper than a new exhaust, and I’m happy running with the valves open most of the time.

I have a V8 convertible without F43. There's basically no audible engine sound in 7th or 8th at highway cruise. 1800 RPM equates to about 90 mph. This thing is too quiet most of the time.

Actually got the alignment done yesterday and it seems to fix the parking guide line inaccuracy, car feels more twitchy at low speed might need some time to get used to it. Also found out our car use different camber in the front to off set road camber, might try out an even setup next time around.
Went for a drive today and surprisingly car got stuck in quiet mode again, it also felt sluggish below 4k rpm but that might be in my head... Top end feels usual. Where is the vacuum line located? gonna get it removed once and for all.

I'm gonna get new tires mounted on Monday and will ask them to do it, I saw on another thread it is recommended to use a vacuum line plug to block it off, I'm assuming the plug goes into where the line was attached, and you removed the line off the vehicle or secured it without reconnecting? Do you know what size plug is needed, and how many is required?
i might be over thinking this and my mechanic may know exactly what to do, but I really want to do it in one quick shot and never worry about it again.
