EZ PASS toll problem ...

Hi guys,
I tried using my valid EZ PASS transponder while driving through a highway toll and for some unknown reason, my EZ PASS box doesn't work. I keep it inside the car and place it onto the inner windshield as I approach the toll but the EZ PASS system keeps telling me, EZ PASS not read. Unpaid toll. I keep going through tolls without paying. Then several days later I receive a letter asking for payment plus a fine amount for this infraction. My car is a 2017 car. Can anyone shed some light on the problem. I call EZ PASS customer service to complain but they keep telling me that my account is in good standing and there is no problem from their end. What's going on ???
Thanks.

Yes - the windscreen can attenuate the EZPass signal. They make an alternative transponder that attaches to the front license plate so that it's already outside the car. Lots of the Germans (BMW / Mercs) have it. I hadn't seen it as an issue on the Jags before but should be solvable with the front plate transponder

But with further thinking, the transponder will NOT be secure - since you can release this device with the simple pull of a pin... Check with the vendor - they are VERY helpful!

+1. Try that first. Otherwise the plate transponder can be mounted to that bolt that the StoNSho uses (if you don't use a front plate).

I hate the appearance of toll transponders stuck to the windshield. The F-Type is the third car I have attached my transponder to the moon roof glass instead. Works fine. 100% of the time.
In fact, on two cars, the transponder is mounted to the top side of the sliding sun screen, between it and the moonroof glass, so you can't see it from inside the car, and almost impossible to spot from outside. There is less clearance here on the F-Type, but I improvised and still got it done.

Mine is not the EZ Pass, but a similar Norwegian toll road system, and it is mounted to the left of the rear view mirror.
It looks like an oem part of the car, but it was originally white before it was painted matte black.
