You have got to be kidding me. If it was not for emotion nobody would buy a Jaguar type vehicle. I would say marketing on this one is spot on.

Not kidding at all. I'm not interested in the F-Type because of their heretofore brand image and I'm certainly not staying interested because of their attempt to blast their brand image with crude humor. I'm interested because it's beautiful (which is emotion) and performs great irrespective of who the manufacturer is. Honestly, I don't care one bit who the manufacturer is. My last car buying decision came down to a Hyundai Genesis Coupe versus a BMW 435i. The BMW won out simply because the Hyundai wasn't available due to production issues.

Please note that Jaguar didn't present you with this ad - you found it on an Internet forum. The ad is clearly targeted to Brits, in their own country, and there's no question that their sense of humor is a bit different than ours. Many of us appreciate it (i.e. Monty Python, Top Gear, et. al.)

Please note that Jaguar didn't present you with this ad - you found it on an Internet forum. The ad is clearly targeted to Brits, in their own country, and there's no question that their sense of humor is a bit different than ours. Many of us appreciate it (i.e. Monty Python, Top Gear, et. al.)

No jag in the stable... interesting. Look the original poster was passing on what he saw. I understand this type of advertising is not going to trip everybody's trigger. But, I'm so tired of everything in life having to be so politically correct that when you see somebody/manufacturer step out of the safe zone I say they should be applauded, not discouraged. Apparently this advertising campaign is working as we are talking about it. I think the vast majority of the people who see this sign smile. Some maybe not so much.
