F/R Cameras Installed.....
I just had my new front and rear cameras installed on my '16 R. (It didn't have the Vision Pack). The guys did a very nice, clean job. Took an entire day. But the result was excellent. The rear camera activates when I shift into reverse. For the front, I just press the "Home" button for 3 seconds on the NAV console to activate it (and press it again to deactivate). It's nice that they didn't have to install any toggles switches for the front. The only negative is that the cameras doesn't show any grid lines but as long as I can see, that's fine.

Good question. I didn't ask the techs since it was very late when I picked it up yesterday and I had to leave right away. Since it was very labor intensive and took an entire day, I'm assuming that they had to tap into the console and get in there.

I paid $1,300 for the front & rear cameras and all the necessary parts and also including labor (which took a whole day). I'm not sure how much the Vision Packs costs on its own.

Also, when you're going at high speed on the highway, you can activate the front camera and it looks very cool from that perspective!

9 minutes in length, but exceptionally well detailed in what need to come apart, how, and what connects to where.

If you get a free moment, would you be able to take a photo of the screen showing the front camera with your F Type parked about 6" from a kerb/wall so I could see if adding a front camera would assist with detecting width restrictors? I'm currently playing with a 360 camera installation but I'm not happy with the activation so I would much rather use a single camera with a nav-tv or similar module that is properly integrated.
