You know these f type better than most owners so do you think the malfunctioning button could cause a battery drain? I did have the dealer put my jag on the lift to inspect the undercarriage, they replaced two rear tires, rotors and brake pads, I also had new brake fluid. Thanks for your valuable input.

Update. Spoke to jaguar dealer this morning and relayed the new information as to loud button, car is with the technician so maybe I’ll know something today. I also mention the brake fluid flush and that I didn’t have a record of them doing this, he said they do a brake fluid flush as routine every three years. I’ll keep everyone updated. Frank

As for the spoiler raise, ignition must be on, but engine off. If you don’t already know how, push start button without depressing brake pedal (AT) or clutch pedal (MT).

The loud button problem may be part of the battery issue. The battery issue might be resolved by simply rebooting the battery management module.

The spoiler button works differently on the coupe vs convertible, and across model years. On my ‘14 vert, I can raise or lower the spoiler at lower speeds, but it’s always up above 60.

Update from dealer battery had a bad cell, replaced , loud button had a "open circuit" found a frayed wire in boot area, fixed and now ok, yes probably played a role in battery drain, spoiler operation my bad, should have read manual. Brake fluid flushed and refilled. Car to be delivered on Monday.

Brian1964,
That is one beautiful car! As for the mileage, mine has now 180,000 miles on her, still runs great, looks almost new, and has been relatively trouble free. I think the price is a little high, but it has some rare options such as the ACC (which I've never used on my car), the side skirts, the sports seats etc. It is troubling that it has not done much driving over four years' time and no servicing, but if you purchase, flushing all fluids including oil, coolant, brake, and power steering would change all that. Suggest tranny fluid change at about 60,000 miles. Gorgeous color, gorgeous car, get it for a price and you'll love it!
