Default F Type Colors

Interested in a 2016 R, trying to decide between colors. Italian Racing Red, Storm Grey, Black or Silver are up for vote. I am not as fond of the white ,even though I know its much better in the heat? Also is the Italian red the same shade as the newer Firenze red color?

I wish I could see these all in person, but they're all at different dealers far from my location. Some of these pics are of the same jag. Want to know what you would choose.. Could only screenshot the IRR because couldn't save the image down. Thoughts? I realize its often a personal choice but just interested in what you think. I like the IRR, but am wondering if it is too loud? Any thoughts on this?

First, there is no bad color on an f type I have the white but it was not my first color choice. I realized the wheels do make an impact with certain colors. The IRR is goregeous, but I didn't think I'd like it every day (could have been wrong as everytime I see it, it's great looking). Storm grey with red/black interior was drawing me in. I ended up with the white with red/black interior as I realized it really shows off the lines of the car and has a stormtropper look. It's really a personal decision. If you want an interior that is red/black I would go with white, silver or one of the greys.

Color choice is very subjective. But it is a well known fact that Red FT's are the fastest.

The IRR looks much better with black trim in my opinion (which is why I owned one in that spec), which the car in your screenshot doesn't have. That said, a good vinyl wrap shop could "delete" your chrome affordably if you wanted that look. First pic is my IRR coupe in the sun. The second pic is my car on the left, and DJS' salsa red on the right for comparison.

If you want something more special please consider Desire Red either metallic or satin finish, looks unreal with or without blackpack
See for yourself

I think both IRR and silver look better with the black pack. Black looks great when the car is on and the LEDs lit, but you can lose the curves against it. It is the hardest to keep clean, obviously, I had endured that in a black XF. Black was my third choice when I was looking.

Silver was my second choice. I think it shows the curves better than any other colour and it is very easy to keep clean. I had a silver XKR (which actually I always thought would look better in IRR) and loved the colour.

IRR was my first choice and now having had the car for 3 years, I am glad I got it. It looks amazing after a wash but looks good even when dirty, so it is easy to maintain. It changes colour depending on the light. Easily every week someone will come over and ask me about the car, or take a photo. Obviously the F Type is a pretty car, but so was the silver XKR and that never got anywhere near that amount of attention, so I think the colour is a big factor. It is a classy colour, I got our XE in it as well and I think it is the pick of colours in the XE.

Out of those color choices I personally would go with IRR followed by silver. Most of my previous cars were black and I just assumed that’s what I’d end up with by default. When I test drove my first one I passed over the black because, to me, compared to some of the brighter/lighter colors, the gorgeous curves blend together. That said, regardless of the color you chose it’s a gorgeous (and fun) car. I never thought I’d EVER want, much less own an orange car but I fell in love with the color immediately. Either of the reds were my next choice.

I also think that Italian Racing Red looks best with black trim.

FTypes look good in any color! My 1st choice was silver, then gray, then IRR. This is my 2014 IRR Roadster with chrome accents.

Nice. I haven't seen many IRR convertibles, but the chrome trim really pops on the convertible (possibly because of no chrome on the roof?).

Thanks, I think the white or camel interior also add a nice contrast.

Just recently got a F-Type V8 with IRR and Black Trim. Checked out all the colors but the IRR sealed the deal accented with the black, the deal was over quickly!!!!

That desire red convertible is the best looking F-Type color I've seen. I realize its subjective, but DAMN.
