Here is the desire red in the real world. Just looks like the old caviar that the XK and XJ had but 10x more expensive.

It'd be great for a getaway car - all those witnesses arguing about the colo(u)r!

That's one mean looking f type. Hard to see the red in that photo. Is that a 2020 or a custom front bar in the grille? The hood doesn't seem to be latched shut on the passenger side (USA passenger side).

That’s a Euro plinth mounted to the front bumper. (Accepts the front license).

Probably can’t post a picture ‘til your 5th or 10th post.

Dude, I’m a Luddite. Wasn’t trying to post a pic, just getting the color out there.

I think it really depends on who you are - if you like the attention and the color, go with the IRR! Black is a bit boring IMHO...

Default BRG#5, valloire white, meribel white, spectral racing red photos

Can anyone post pictures of any of these very expensive paint colors on an actual ftype?
BRG#5, valloire white, meribel white, spectral racing red.

I might order but need to see first. Dealer doesn't even have paint swatches.

Oh I see. Spectral is Jagspeak for pearl. Not all that much pearl for a whopping 8k, either, imho. Difficult to tell only from photos, though.

If the one with the gold wheels is supposed to be BRG#5, I can't see any real difference in that lighting to my plain BRG metalflake.

Anyone else have better photos in full sunlight?

#5 is just a bit lighter than the standard BRG, more in line with what we remember the BRG from the 60’s-70’s. In actuality Jaguar BRG has undergone several permutations over the past century.

I ordered an R in BRG#5 with my fingers crossed. Very disappointed that Jaguar can't provide even a photograph of a car in the color. I contacted the company and was told a sample was available on their website and to "see my dealer. "

Desire Red, at the Detailers

Worth doing as it is so easy to wash

And I think the colour is epic!

I hope you will post your impressions after you receive your car. There’s no substitute for seeing the teal thing in different lights. Some of the photos are more reflections than paint. It’s hard to photograph that deep shine.

My objection to all of these colours is that they are just differrent shades of black . Only under artificial light or strong sunlight you can see the glow/shine. If its a bit clouded, or the car a bit dusty,
you don't see any of it. Just black . It that respect tho old black with gold flakes was much better : it showed through the dust and dull clouded weather. Santorini black.
