Question F type coupe/Booster seat

Hello to F type owners,

I want to put a booster seat in the passenger seat for my 5 1/2 years old son. Is it recommended or not?

Thanks

Ian

There are official Jaguar seats, so yes.

Child Seat: C2C35104

Child Seat with Booster Cushion: C2C35572

I don't have children but i thought they're not suppose to sit in the front bc of the airbags? Unless you can disable the airbags.

The Owner's Handbook warns that a rear facing child seat must never be used - only the forward facing type. There's also detailed instructions in the CHILD RESTRAINT CHECKLIST for checking the passenger airbag is deactivated.

Default Booster Seat

Yes, I use a booster seat for my 8 y.o. Since he's not heavy enough, the airbags will no deploy in the event they're needed. They are weight sensitive. My 13 y.o. daughter (not in a booster!) doesn't even weigh enough to deploy them. An indicator lights up on the overheard area (I think) saying passenger air bags are disabled.

It senses something heavy enough to detect, but not heavy enough to engage the airbags.

Thanks to all,

If I understand right. It's ok to put my son in a booster seat in front and the airbag won't work since his weight isn't enough?
