The anticipation when its this close is most painful, isn't it?

It sure is. Tracking shows it's docked in Canada now.

It still says customs release in NJ 7/17. I guess it will be updated when it arrives at my dealership here in NY. My ETA IS 7/27 but it doesn't take a week to get from NJ to NY so I'm thinking I'll get a call sometime next week...hopefully.

most manufacturers have a port processing facility where they add any port installed options, do a final inspection and repair any damage to the vehicle during transit, etc before it is delivered to the dealer. This can take up to a week.

Thanks...didn't know that. I'm pretty sure I'll get it next week.

If it sits in port for more than a week, then I would start to worry. That can mean it was damaged in transit and they have to do repairs. I've seen cars sit in port for up to a month. It could also just mean that they are backlogged though.

Hey Dremorg,
Customs processing is done electronically now. Mine was never actually in NJ. Here's the sequence of events you can expect. When it says "Delivered From" its officially been loaded onto the truck heading to your dealer. Mine took 2 days to reach Tx.

Oh ok. So it was approx. 4 days since customs release to being on the truck. This tracking was today. And what do you mean that your car was never actually in NJ?

Mine cleared customs while the cargo ship was still offshore. NJ was never a port destination of the vessel. I *think* Jaguars vehicle processing center in Brunswick handles all the incoming Jags, but I'm not 100% sure. This post has the link for tracking the actual location of your cargo ship

@ Ungineer. What date did your car arrive at your dealership?
