Default F-Type Coupe R vs. V8S engine differences?

Does anyone have any intel on what Jaguar did to extract the extra 55 horsepower out of the engine in the Coupe R vs. the V8 S convertible? Just curious if there are differences in the actual engine and supercharger or if it's just a tuning program that could potentially be hacked into our V8 S cars.

Just tuning and possibly exhaust like the XKR-S ... oh and of course changing the digits in the marketing material .... impossible to nail any car down to the exact HP.

You can get the dynamic sport exhaust on an XKR so that "should" have more HP than a regular XKR than as well who really knows or can measure that.

You can run a car three times on the same dyno in a row and get three different results and in this HP range maybe have a spread of 20hp between low and high.

I am currently in the middle of a tune. I think we can load software of r engine to s and then tune it a little more. I am shooting for 600 hp. Also. A pulley change. Nice. B well

So does anyone officially know the differences?

With the Dyno whp numbers we've been seeing out of the F-Type V8S convertibles, I am wondering if there is any difference at all as it seems like the convertible is putting down around 525-535 crank hp on most cars...

1/4 mile times also seem to indicate there is less than a 50+ hp difference unless of course if the coupe is heavier...

I believe the difference is software only. I understand the engines are mechanically identical.

This grid suggests it's software only since the difference in compression ratios is ecu controlled

I would be curious if jag has beefed anything up like the transmission, half shafts, differential etc to support the additional torque...

I suspect that again they are identical.

Cool, In that case, it would be a positive thing for those who want to mod for reasonable gains (ECU/pulley etc)...

I for one find the car is already too powerfull for the crappy streets in my area..
