Default F Type Coupe Trunk vs XKR Coupe Trunk

Here are some pics I took of the same luggage in the F Type Coupe and a XKR Coupe. The bag is 32"x21" and 10" deep. Both cars have room for a computer bag on top of the luggage and also room for smaller bags on the sides.

The bag only fits lengthwise in the F Type and only sideways in the XKR. There is no room in either car to the front or the rear of the luggage bag.

I was intending to do a similar comparison at the dealer myself.

The F-Type has a better capacity than I was expecting.

Does the coupe's trunk open up at all into the main cabin or is it completely sealed? A lot of 2 seaters these days have a panel door that opens up (even if it is only a square foot of a hole) to stick skis or long items through.

They had one at Crown Jaguar in St. Pete for a 1 day preview. It was then going to another dealer. Call your local dealer and ask when they are getting one and to let you know.

I know they are just appearing at dealerships in the UK but thought every dealer in the US would have a demo by now.

That seems to be the standard method for most convertibles these days. I had do the same with my old SLK. Remove the driver and woods from the bag and lay them in separately.

From Digital Trends, comparing Roadster to Coupe Boot:

Clearly, the two F-TYPEs aren’t very different … at least in terms of powertrain options.

Where the two truly differ is with space: trunk space, to be exact.
Jaguar boasts the F-TYPE Coupe has apparently far more space for things in the boot, as the Brits say. Just beneath the performance figures, Jaguar notes that the Coupe can hold two sets of golfing clubs. I take this to mean that many, many plaid-draped Englanders threw stiff upper lip fits when they discovered the brand-new Jag couldn’t hold their clubs.

I routinely carry my stand bag in the F-type trunk. Yes, driver and woods go in separately. I've been able to get in two smaller stand bags, in which case the woods ride with the passenger.

Keeping a stiff upper lip means exactly the opposite - not having a fit.

Thanks for the info as it is a deal breaker for me.
I had a 350Z convertible and they designed the trunk specifically to hold a set of clubs and you didn't have to remove the driver/woods. Even had a sticker on the inside of the trunk showing how to properly insert the bag.
During my first look at the trunk of the F-Type convertible I knew it would be tight, glad to hear the coupe has some extra room.

I guess a LesPaul or Stratocaster in a hardshell case is out of the question in the F-type Coupe's trunk... hmm...

I can fit 2 sets of clubs and some small bags shoes and a soft cooler in the 2010 XK

With the cargo cover removed my Strat case fits just fine.


Hmmm...nothing like opening a 6 year old thread.
