Default F-Type Early Impressions

Okay, I'm a new F-Type owner, not new to Jags, just this model. I've had 40+ Jags and other cars in the last 25 years. This includes MGB's, TR6's, a series 1 E-type, BMW's, Austin Healey, a Ford Galaxie muscle car, XKR's, XJR's, etc.
This may sound strange to some, but I'm telling you, this F-type is by far the best I've ever owned. The reasons are more subjective, not really anything measurable. This car feels like an extension of me. The seat feels perfect, the controls fall to hand, I've had zero issues with the stereo, the fit and finish, the clutch, the gearbox, the climate control or any rattles. I love the way the shifter "snicks" into each gear; the feeling is sublime. And of course the sound is sheer perfection. With my F-Type, it's not about showing off, but I feel like a million bucks when driving it. You guys were right.... I look for excuses to drive! I think Jaguar have got this right. Good job!!

If you're like many of us, the "new car romance" will NOT wear off and you'll feel the same way for many months / years to come!

Now that you have an F-Type, plan a trip north come May! See you there!

We're very close in the number of cars owned, in my case more than 50 over the last 30 years or so. After 2 years with my F-Type, and zero complaints, I'd put it in the top 3, which is saying a lot.

On Top Gear, James May talked about cars that made him feel a 'fizz' when he drove them. With the F-type, now I know what he's talking about. Not clinical, just pure enjoyment.

This..... My poor Shelby Super Snake was only driven about 200 km last year. It's a fun car but it's a lot more work to drive than the F-Type. When given the choice, I usually jump into the Jag....

I played with the idea of changing from the F-Type S (yes senior moments), and every time I look at it and drive it, take a hammer to the head and yell "Stupid"!!! It is an awesome car......

Every time I get in mine (since Oct), I just laugh...

And, my passenger just laughs...

Except my wife, who is hanging on for dear life!

My 2015 V6-S has been bullet-proof. Two nitpicks: the windows constantly need to be re-calibrated for auto-operation, and the radio tuning buttons on the steering wheel always need to be pressed twice to start working when you turn on the stereo (the first press won't change the station). But that's it! Like I said, nitpicks.

"Most fun I've ever had with my clothing on - driving my F-Type."
It's good to be bad...
How alive are you?

You should try it with your clothes OFF!!!

Then you'll really feel alive and bad! (and maybe exposed!)

Oh crap! How many years of therapy will it take to get that image out of my mind?

The image you imagine can't be much worse than what it would look like in person... At least I have tinted windows!

Even with the Image "U", I think I'm going to get tints immediately, including front and rear....."5's, in order to assure the image goes away :-)
