Default F Type exhaust

Does anybody know if it is possible to 'retro fit' the switchable active exhaust as mine does not have the switchable one currently?.. It is a 5.0S.. Seems to be mixed answers from Jaguar saying it can/can't be done!

It sure can be done but will be pricey with the wiring and the switch. My best guess would be at least $1,200 for the exhaust plus another $1,000 in labor and parts.

you can get a custom exhaust for around $500.

You already have active exhaust, you just want to make it switchable, right? Think there's another thread around here discussing that.

Having read the other forum on f type exhaust no one has yet said whether the standard jaguar switch for the active exhaust system can be retro fitted.

It's a matter of being able to open the baffles. I believe someone said that there is a specific fuse tied to the active exhaust and by adding a switch to that fuse, you might be able to do it that way but who would want to risk that?

New2Jag: Yes exactly, unless Jaguar can do it properly I won't bother!
