Good to hear!

I think it looks really good in black.

Best of luck, Foosh! You've been a great forum friend to all of us with sound advice and perspective.

Looking at the pic's, I'm sorry to lose you to the dark side, but my brothers (the 'vetter's) will welcome you with open arms.

Wow Foosh, I'm a little bit shocked! Always thought you'd be a member who would be around for a long time!

Nevertheless, congratulations on the C7. This forum will definitely lose a valuable member (while the respective C7 forums gain a new one). Your sound advice and insight will definitely be missed!

A "Tar Heel" saying something nice to a "Blue Devil" probably won't cause the Earth to tilt on it's axis, but it's almost unheard of.

I'm a 10-year member over there under the same handle, but it's not a terribly enjoyable place.

Thank you!

Congrats on the car. But it seems like the only ones driving a 'Vette are balding old geezers wearing a thick gold chain. Not my cup of tea.

In other words, very similar to the F-Type demographic, even though both attract plenty of younger owners :-)

Sad to hear anyone leave the F-type family ... but totally understand missing the MT! Care to comment on the feel of the vette in the MT? Given the problems some of us are having with the '16 manual clutch, curious to hear how the vette performs.

Good show Foosh. Corvettes have a well deserved following. To my eyes, the current crop seem to yearn to be a bat mobile. Not specifically a bad thing, just not my thing.

How does it compare in terms of handling and all of that?

Congrats Foosh, happy motoring in the vette. Upside....built in the US of A and is a modern American Classic and I'm sure a great driving car.

Gotta admit it's a great looking car and truly a sports car as opposed to being just a muscle car. Congrats and keep in touch.

We dont get them (the C7) here though they are a chance to be the GM halo car when local production stops. In Oz, they would be a very rare and exotic car. Congratulations, and thanks for your input when I was looking for a car.

The clutch is the perfect balance between light and firm feel. Engagement point is obvious and immediate. Shifter is the best I've ever had w/ precise and very short throws.

Nice. Black is the only colour that looks right on the C7 IMHO. I was going to order a new 2017 Z06 convertible in triple black but couldn't get past a few of the styling elements of the Z06, namely the rear spoiler and the front fender extensions. Chevrolet should have done to the C7 Z06 what they did to the C6 Z06 and moulded new fenders for the front.

This will be the first generation Corvette I've skipped since the C3. The F Type R offered more of what I was looking for and I still have my supercharged C6 convertible with 650hp on tap. I'll see what the C8 has to offer.

Thanks. I haven't had it long enough to develop a good handling comparison, but it's rated well over 1g on the skidpad, and it appears to have the advantage on road racing tracks per sites like fastestlaps.com, where a head-to-head comparison is available. The 4" longer wheel base also helps.

It clearly has crazy amounts of grip on PSS ZPs (run-flats).

Foosh, keep the shiny side up, the rubber side down and stay in touch. Except for the E-Diff, there a lot of features on the Z51 I wish we had available on ours. If I could just cannibalize your C7 to build my F-Type...
