Hi all,
Been looking at a 2017 F-type R that was 'rest of world' spec and it seems to be RWD. I sent the vin to Jaguar who sent back the spec list and it is indeed a 2017 model with RWD. Anyone else heard of this? I thought all 2016+ were AWD.
And along the same lines... 550hp with RWD is going to be frustrating isn't it?

Personally, I find the 6S to have all the power I need with RWD and would opt for AWD if I were in a R. BUT, there are plenty of forum members that have the early 8S RWD versions and I don't recall any complaints. It's a great car and people seem to enjoy what they get. Period. I'd say there could be an interesting appeal to having what sounds like an unusual configuration.

Apologies I should have been clearer. The car is definitely a 2017 model year. And the build cert from Jaguar lists it as RWD. I thought from 2016+ all R models were AWD, but it seems that it wasn't the case worldwide? This car is an Asia model. Just wondering if anyone else had heard of anything like this?
