F-Type R AWD VelocityAP Stage 2

Interesting, I dyno'd 524 awhp (SAE correction factor) in my Range Rover Sport Supercharged Dynamic (same drive train) down here in FL with the same VAP tune and pulley. Here is the thread:

Both of my catalytic converters failed as well in two months. I know of at least one other RRS that had theirs fail shortly after the tune was installed as well. Land Rover replaced them under warranty but I traded it on a SVR while it was at the dealer. I'd like to do the pulley and tune on the SVR but now it looks like the factory cats can't survive the tune. I know they've sold tons of the tune so not sure why there isn't more discussion on it?

May have to get the Cats at some point anyway. I do have a lift in my garage, and I am financing an auto franchise for the next 7 years for someone, so could use any of those 6 lifts as well...so MAYBE I could do the cats myself? I did the ones on my 997 TT and they were a bit of a bitch...Had to replace nearly every stud and nut after only 15K miles. I bought all of the S wrenches and U wrenches, so maybe that will help?
Take care,
DC

Torque Adapter Wrench is probably a winner.

Got it...Thanks. Of all the tools I have, I do not have these exact adapters. I have some that are close, but may order these for when I do the Cats! Thanks again. Tune and Lower pulley working great so far BTW. Also got the Meth/H2O installed to keep it all cool!

Yes, that's exactly what is takes. Issue is that the tool set cost more than what Jag charged me lol It was an easy decision for me at that point! Thank you guys for chiming in!

I see your into modding it too. Thats awesome. When I did my stage 2 I replaced my cats before they went. My Type R V8 transformed into a different car. So I decided to go all the way and do the upper pulley with a new snout for reliability, the thermostat, water pump, Cat Back valved exhaust and did the cats at the same time. new Rear diffuser and wing, and reinforced all the water plastic bits with CF and disposed of the cheap water vent tubing for AN lines for reliabilty. I also added 1 step colder plugs. Everything was running like a beast. Then smoked a fuel injector. So I changed those as well.
If you ever need help, let me know and I'll see if I can. This winter Im going to see how to cool this thing a little better while running standing still and driving.
I have to say, these cars look and sound amazing. You picked a great car to play around with!

given these cars have such a massive chunk of metal on top of the engine by the blower, the old drag racing trick of slapping a couple bags of ice on the manifold is probably a decent idea when dynoing back-to-back. That or just finding a dyno/tuner that has half a brain cell to provide adequate airflow.
