Can LHD vehicles not be used on the roads in Australia?

Depends on the build date, & in which state you are in.

A brand new car has to be RHD, a 30 year old car can be LHD.

Theres more to it, but that's the general rule, one of the reasons I couldn't bring my X-Type from Switzerland.

You have to wonder why they would send LHD to Australia!

I like the white with red interior, just missing the glass roof IMHO.
What does the R type go for in AUS?

$220K AUD plus on roads etc, probably around $250K driveaway, which is more than the XKR currently costs but less than the XKR-S. The base starts at $120K, probably $140K driveaway, so as you can see there is probably $100K plus difference between base and the R. Which is berserk, when the difference in the US is probably $20K or so. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Which is why I bought the XKR, when initially my interest had been piqued by the f-type.

And what really gives me the irrits is that Jag moans about not having a big market share, when all they need to do is to drop their prices instead of matching them to the opposition.
