Default F-Type R Coupe - Wheel Adaptors

Hi all

New to the forum but hoping to become a valuable member!

I had a question about spacer/adaptor thickness which I couldn't find using the search function. I know that 15mm is the common thickness to go for but has anyone gone higher and do you have any pics of it?

I am looking to get some hub centric and wheel centric adaptors for my V8 coupe but from the pics of 15s I see fitted I think there is room for a slightly more aggressive stance. I figure if I'm going that direction, may as well go for it!

Any help would be much appreciated!

p.s. if anyone knows of any suppliers in the UK that would be awesome too! Otherwise I'm looking at motorsport-tech who've been mentioned on here a number of times

17mm is about as far as you can safely go if you stick with the OEM 295s. Otherwise you'll catch the fairly wide fender lip.

Unhinged, I believe you have pointed out there may be issues if you go with 17 mm and if you lower the car and go to wider wheels?

The issue Is not with the drop. The drop just makes it more likely to tear something up if you run things too wide. +15 mm with 295s definitely works. +15 mm with 305s (additional 5mm extension) definitely does not work. I said suspect that 17 mm with 295s is OK but I personally don't know for certain. Others with this set up who have bottomed out their suspensions might be able to weigh in on this.

What is the wheel size and offset that you are running with the 295's and 15mm spacers?

No. Same fenders, same track.

I have the 15mm spacers/adapters and LOVE the look. Thanks Unhinged! Eventually when I go to Michelin PSS 305s I'll get a 10mm spacer, got Velocty AP springs still in the box. Just don't want to leave my car long enough to get them installed

If you at some point switch to 10mm spacers, it may require installing longer studs. There wouldn't be enough meat for recessing the adaptor nuts on anything smaller than 15mm and the OEM studs aren't long enough to reach through a plate adaptor sufficiently for the lug nuts.

It was my understanding that others were getting 6 turns on their lug nuts with 10mm spacers.

I'm not certain that's enough. I'd have to look into that based on the thread pitch and bolt diameter.

This thread kinda confused me a little bit. I just ordered the 17mm, I'm running 305's and I do not plan on lowering it. It should be OK right?

Take those speed bumps as slowly as they intend you to.

A bump in a corner, catching a bit of air, whatever that causes even close to full compression, it will rub.

I'm running 305's and plan on installing 17mm spacers/adapters in a few weeks... but first am having the lips on my rear fenders manipulated to achieve the appropriate 5mm of additional clearance. Will report back what was done and if successful when all is said and done.

Has anyone running 17mm spacers with OEM 295 tires had any issues with rubbing?

Thanks for the heads up, I can probably still cancel the 17's and get 15's.
