Hi all. About an hour ago, I dynoed my '16 F-type R 'vert at KT Motoring in Chatsworth, CA. As some of u know, it is hot as hell out in southern California. It took me about 40 minutes to drive out to Chatsworth so the car was a little hot to say the least. Outside temperature was about 90 degrees but about 97 degrees inside where it was dynoed. Numbers are lower than DynoJet because this is a "true" dyno (DynoDynamics). I'm installing the Eventuri intake later this week so I'm getting a baseline first then back to the dyno after the intake is installed.....
Nice! Looking forward to your results as Eventuri makes quality parts. The topic of intakes always makes for an interesting discussion...so long as your dyno comment doesn't completely derail it.
Yes. I'm crossing my fingers that the Eventuri intake does increase power that it claims. One thing is apparent though... Heat-soak is a big factor for the f-type. Note the difference in power between the 1st and 2nd runs vs. the 3rd and 4th. The difference was a matter of turning the car off and letting it cool down before doing more pulls on the dyno. Also, on the 4th run, the car wouldn't go into dynamic (something about traction, can't remember exactly word for word.). So it was done in just sport. Don't known if that actually made a difference.
I'm also interested in the results. Why not do the before and after dyno on the same day?
I would if that were possible. #1. The intake won't get here till Thursday or Friday. 2. The place where I ordered it and will do the installation, doesn't have an all-wheel dyno. 3. Very few places have an all-wheel dyno as it is. On top of that, they're all booked till at least next week. By then, it'll be too late.
I have he Eventuri intake sitting in a box in my shop as I have not had a chance to have it installed... a mechanic friend is planning to install it this Friday at his shop as they have a lift.
Will be interested to see your results on the dyno and of course any change in blower sound as well.
When I received the intake, I was a little concerned with the filter in that it does not appear to have the density or dust stopping power of a standard filter, although its not bad... this was simply a visual inspection. It would be interested to see the results of a proper lab test.

I'm fairly certain the filters on the Eventuri are more than sufficient at filtering. Lol. Having said that, any flaws caused by possible insufficient filtering will likely not affect any integral parts under the hood for quite some time. I suppose it is possible after some lengthy years, that the results of bad filtering may show. Anyhow, to each their own. I've thought about all the pros and cons of installing the Eventuri for quite some time. I've made up my mind. Consequences be damned. Happy tuning.....

Glad you picked up on the heat soak issue. It's really helpful to have AFR logged because you can see it drop right off when it hits overtemp and you know it's altering your results.

Stuart, I noticed that the AFR was on the rich side. Very rich in fact. I don't remember the exact ratio, but it was a 10 point something, definitely under 11. Is this normal? My car is bone stock, except I removed the engine cover, if u can even call that a "mod."
If you drove straight in to the Dyno on arrival, you may have got the best of the conditions. Unless you can leave it with the bonnet open to cool down for an hour or so first, the heat soak will cause the ECU to back the timing right off and try to use fuel as coolant...
