F-Type R Lease

F-Type R Lease
Hey guys, new to the forum! Hoping to pull the trigger on a '17 F-Type R coupe in the next couple of months. I was wondering, what is a realistic lease payment I should be negotiating towards ($0 down, taxes rolled in, 10k/year)? I've been searching the forum for a few months now and people are getting $900/month...in comparison I was recently quoted $1280 on a BDE V6S in Chicago.
All input and advice is much appreciated

Just to throw other numbers to compare...my 15' base coupe based on the same parameters you mentioned had an msrp of about 71K, brand new build option. I forget the exact amount but i negotiated down to about 65K. I added the tire and wheel insurance for an extra $50 per month. This bumped my monthly payments to $1012. I thought this was a good deal.
I built a new 17' R AWD coupe just to see where things would fall and I think it was about $1300-1400 per month. All of these figures going off a 36 month lease.

You might want to take a wander over to https://forum.leasehackr.com - they reckon that if you can get your payment to 1% of MSRP with $0 down then you've got a good deal. Most of the posts have been on the base model though...

If you're not ordering and picking up a leftover on the lot ... you should be shooting for an R lease under $1k a month without any money out of pocket. With TTL + first month payment out of pocket, you should be targeting < $900. Dealer's will discount leftovers very heavily (>20%) this time of year.

Unfortunately in Texas you pay sales tax on the whole price of the car, not just the leased bits so that monthly is higher, which is what put me off the whole leasing idea for a car I was probably going to keep a while. Oh and Chase doesn't let you transfer a lease either...

I picked up a 2016 R Coupe 13 months ago with every option (including CCBs) that was on the lot and they couldn't move. I got about 20% off the MSRP. I did pay $5k down, but that also covered the 1st month's payment + TTL. I added the wheel & tire package and the total ended up 100-101k. My payment with taxes is about $825...about $50 of that is for the wheel & tire package.

Rolling in $5K down, your payment is about $913/mo provided it is a 36 mo lease.
Very good for $125K (I assuming?) car!
What are the mileage limits? 1000 mi/month?

39 month lease. I think the MSRP was like $121k so with taxes and wheel and tire, etc....yea about $125k. And yep, 12k/year (1000/mo). Does the $913 include the wheel and tire and the $5k covering 1 month payment & TTL? Always wondered just how decent of a deal I got....

can you please tell me how i'm paying $1012/month for a 36 month lease 10K miles per year for a MSRP 65K with 2K down (first payment plus tax)? And you are paying LESS than that for a MSRP 35K more??

The difference is the discount on the purchase price. The largest component of a lease payment is the depreciation. When you're getting 20-25% discount off msrp that delta shrinks and your payments get a lot smaller. Lower optioned cars have less margin and it is typically harder to get the crazy discounts you see on some of the R models.
When leasing a car it's all about timing discounts vs when the leasing company's and manufacturers subsidize rates (MF) and residuals to move cars off the lot.
Just like 1madcat. I got a steal on my R - about 25% off Msrp. My lease is 850/month (just went down after moving out of Philly) with $0 out of pocket.
