Default F-type rear brakes upgrade

Hello,

I have a 2014 Jaguar F-type S with "High Performance" brakes (380/326mm).
I need to restore them and am thinking of upgrading the rear brakes to "Super Performance" with 376mm discs.
The calipers should (probably?) be the same, but can anyone help me with information on what all needs to be replaced? I think maybe some caliper brackets will need to be replaced? Or whole calipers?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Denis

Search for OzXFRs thread on this subject. He did the exact swap you desire. If I recall correctly you need to replace the caliper, the rotor and the caliper bracket as well as the splash shield. His thread has all the required part numbers too I think.

Yep, start here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...8/#post1684209
You have the replacement parts correct - new rotors, new calipers, new caliper brackets, new pads and new splash shields.
Probably best to get new crush washers as well but I was forced to reuse the old ones after filing back the edges.
And no, the existing calipers/brackets/pads will not fit, they look the same but they are not the exact same sizes.
New (or used) calipers may or may not come with the integrated parking/emergency brake motors but it's a simple job to unbolt the existing motors from the 326 mm calipers and bolt them to the 376 mm calipers.

And what price would you like for them?
+ I'm from the Czech Republic, so if we were to agree, it would be necessary to send them abroad.
Thank you.

Ah i assumed you were from the states.

Going rate seems to be $180-250 usd each on eBay, i will let them go for $300 + shipping.

Lemme know if it makes sense for you after shipping, i don’t mind packing and dropping it off to the shipper.

Thanks for your offer, but it would be too complicated - I just found 2 pcs with all equipment as yours on eBay for 15" rotors with 25% discount from the seller, so i bought them.
Soo, if I understand, now I "only" need new rotors, 2x shield and pads, right?
Thank you all

Good to hear!

You should be good to go, dust shield is not mandatory but they shouldn't cost to much new.

Rotors can be had for much cheaper going aftermarket.

Yes, I found set with Kinetix drilled rotors and Mintex pads for good price, but I don't have any experience with these brands..

Hi guys,

so the brake calipers only arrived this Monday..
Can someone in the know please confirm that these are indeed calipers for 15" rotors? The seller declared this, but the red color looks more like DIY finished and I don't know how to find out if it really is correct parts.

Thanks!

If you see 4316A and 4317A theyd be the correct part.

Paint on the rear is bumpy from the factory, front should be smooth.

Thanks for your reply.
Where do you think? On the side of the front? If so, the right caliper is 4345/A and the left is 4344/A.
The paint quality on the front is smooth, that's true, but as far as I know, there also exist High Performance brakes in red..

They are most likely not the correct parts then, if you check my pictures you can see 4316a and 4317a stamped on the calipers.

Color is not a good indication since red can probably be optioned when new or painted after.

you can also check your own calipers and see what the stamping says.

100% confirmed you have been dudded, what you have bought are the 326 mm rear calipers and brackets, the same as you already have on the car.
How do I know?
Coz I still have my original rear calipers in a box in the shed and they are 4344/A and 4345/A, same as in your pics.
You need the ones Ray Ray shows in his pics, 4316/A and 4317/A.
And as Ray Ray says the red colour means nothing, my OEM "small" calipers are also red from the factory (but the black Jaguar decals are not OEM, I put the exact same ones on my calipers).
Edit - plenty available in the US on Fleabay motors, see here: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...rs&_sacat=6000
The best I can see on that page are a pair of matching yellow painted ones (scroll down a ways), two separate listings at $199.04 each.
They come with everything including brackets, EPB motors and even brake lines and a wear sensor.
You probably don't want to mess with changing the brake lines but this way at least you would have spares and maybe including crush washers.
Whoops, I forgot Czech!
So postage from the US could be steep but good luck finding the right ones in Europe!

Hi Stickler,

When looking for rear calipers for 376mm, look at two details that will ensure that You are getting the correct parts.
