Default F-Type Rear issue- locksmith will help?

This is a recurring issue. It’s a '14 F-Type. I’ve maintained it pretty well. But.. while driving to work the other day I heard bumping noise. Later when I looked, I found that the lock bolts have become loose from inside. I tried to fix it myself earlier. I don’t know if calling a locksmith is a good idea. They’re probably going to charge a lot.

If you can't fix it yourself the dealer or a locksmith will be necessary. Both will probably charge you hard for it. I would assume if you can afford to buy an F-type then you are good for it. My choice would probably be to drop in to the dealer.

Isn't your car still under warranty?

I'm sorry.. yeah it is under warranty.. but the dealership said that this may have been due to misuse of the car.. so it can not be covered under warranty.. anyway.. the locksmith did not cost much. don't expect such treatment from TATA..

That's crap, I would have had a lot of words to say to that dealer. How can you misuse a lock?
