My F type has an irritating issue on the satnav. When it 'speaks' it does not mute the radio, but the two compete with each other simultaneously. Both my XK and XF muted the radio when the satnav gave directions. When I asked Jaguar about this, they confirmed that the satnav was working OK. Their advice? "Turn the radio down"! Anybody else noticed the problem, or have a solution?

 

Mine does, although not entirely muted but lowers the volume. Try turning up the voice guidance volume.

 

Yep, same here. I think the system is as good as any I've had in a car.

 

You might try adjusting the default volume level for the Navigation... There is a panel in the settings menu that allows for this. Also allows you to set the default volume for the Park Assist, and for the Phone I believe, as well as one other item that I do not recall as I type.
