You will quickly discover that what Service Manager/Tech shared with you was a misunderstanding/not official position/personal opinion once you have to get major engine work under warranty on a tuned engine.

Here is approximately what happens in such circumstances. Dealer does the diagnostic work and files claim with JLR. Two scenarios here - they just approve or ask for additional information/send corporate tech to investigate. Investigation involves checking if your car was ever tuned. If it was, all warranty claims are denied.

What dealer tells you can be understood as "We are not going to report your tune to JLR". This is not the same as "JLR is OK with tuning" or "JLR will still approve warranty if they find out it was tuned".

You are also spreading misinformation that the Service Manager/Tech told you. You will quickly find out all of this walked back when you ask for it in writing.

This is why I keep correcting you. Even VAP, if you ask them directly, will confirm that their tune will void your engine warranty.

strictly speaking in terms of the federal law that's out there (Magnuson Moss Act)....the burden of proof is on the dealer when it comes to whether the modification caused the failure.

In other words, if your ECU is tuned and a brake caliper fails under warranty, it'd be an extremely tough road for them to deny the caliper based on the ECU tune. If, however, you're tuned and something goes wrong within the driveline, it's a pretty easy case to make that the increased power output is more than the car was designed for and then deny the warranty claim.

They can fabricate a whole system from those headers back; so better flow, lighter, and high flow cat's and mufflers.
I will be interested in what the owner has to say, he does a lot of race work, and I will share that once i get it. You and Unhingd appear to have the most experience so I would love to get your thoughts.
Mid length headers and high flow cats on the V6 will result in a horrible, raspy and obnoxious exhaust note, and no appreciable power increase. Might be different on the V8.

I'm inclined to agree unless the muffler smooths some of that out.

It would probably free up a little power, but to really take advantage of it would require a pulley and tune. Increasing volume on one side of the air pump doesn't really do much without the other side.

When are you going to move out to the west coast and put together one of these tours?

Checked out all the photos and videos--looks like a fun time was had by all! Jay, you certainly know how to orchestrate an automotive experience.

After looking at this, I can only say I would-a, could-a, should-a...........

The only size difference between the two is about 35mm in the body of the supercharger, which would require a different lower intake, and either a shorter snout housing or some adjustments to the belt alignment. I would expect that to be extremely costly and not feasible due to the limited number of vehicles out there with people willing to make such a modification.
Minor correction needed to the above information:
3.0 L V6 has Eaton TVS R1320

5.0 l V8 has Eaton TVS R1900

Any expensive upgrade for 5.0 L would be to Eaton TVS R2650 as this moves 2.6 L per revolution compared to 1.9 L per revolution of TVS R1900 and is much more efficient in terms of less power to drive than either TVS R2300 or the TVS R1900
