Default F Type SVR

Regardless of the logo, this car seems like a monster and AWD for sports car ...
I can see Jaguar blending the two six cylinder models into one, with the R as "intermediate," and the SVR being the high end product. Naturally, this is only speculation, but ... possible ... hmmmm

From the factory, the 2 V6 models really are already the same. The engine performance differential is minuscule and just the standard options vary. What is needed is a lightweight halfway between the V6 and an R (~440hp) with an MT that can compete with an M4. At 575hp, the SVR (or P7) really doesn't adequately differentiate itself from the R. It needs to be up around 650hp to make people sit up and notice.

YES! I would absolutely order this car the day they made it available.

Took these pics in Geneva today - great looking car but, thank you, I'm very happy and satisfied with my 380 horses.

Default New SVR Coming

Nice shots of the convertible! Wish I had a chance to get out there to see it. I'm biased towards the coupe though. I'm special ordering an SVR coupe from the factory and having it delivered next April 2017 on my 64th birthday - that will give the production line plenty of time to work out any of the bugs plus I don't want to take delivery during our Colorado winter. I can't wait to get it!

575 horses is plenty of power for a guy like me...

Completely agreed on the coupe - way to go, it'll be worth the wait.

Not from Geneva - it was on that wizz-wheel and there was no way to get close to it.

IMO the only things I like exterior wise is the front bumper and maybe the diffuser. I do like the interior though. I just think the regular F-Type coupe is already perfect. Sometimes you can overdo something and it can take away from it.

The quilted upholstery is just too weird...better suited for a dentist's office rather than a sports car.

Default To Each His/Her Own...

Being 45 days from my 63rd birthday, I am more "old school" and remember the good ol' days when custom "hot rods" of my era had diamond pleated seats. I'm ordering my SVR with the chrome grille surround as well as the chrome trim around the windows which harkened back to the earlier models of the XKE Coupe. It's okay to have different tastes and to that I say, "to each his/her own". Truth be told that many of you probably weren't even born back in the 60's...

You and I are within days of being the same age. As you say: to each his own. The quilted seats are still weird.😜

It just occurred to me why this interior really bothers me...it reminds me of the inside of a high priced coffin. Well suited for the MunsterMobile.

LOL you made me laugh. I'm tall. I loom. "You rang?" and Lurch are things I have heard before.

I vastly prefer the original exterior styling (nose and all) to the SVR. I fear JLR is heading down the ill-advised "gimmicky" design road common to many manufacturers. All too often, an original, beautiful, classic design gets screwed up by efforts to tweak things up and differentiate subsequent model years.
