with my luck you may be correct, but I cannot help myself. I have "the sickness" for cars. It will probably show up just in time for my trip to the Caribbean and sit at the dealership getting touched by strangers!! I jest.

Let me know which dealership so I can go do some touching! Something tells me it won't be out on the showroom floor .

Another SVR Delivered
My local Jag dealer here in Colorado just emailed me that they just received an SVR yesterday. They will need a few days to clean it up, but they invited me to come by and give it a test drive. Of course I just happen to be out of town for two weeks and I was thinking of stopping by the Las Vegas Jag dealer to see if I can get a test drive in one of their "R" coupes...

Cool, big day! You must be big on window tint to even ask that question . How long does that take? After waiting four months I'd be driving it from the lot to the sales desk to do the paperwork!

I have driven the car about 70 miles so far, will post some good pics after a full detail, but here are a couple of quick pics.
First impressions, very positive. Sound is awesome but will not wear you out on the highway, which was a concern I can put to rest.
Steering very responsive, not too light, reminds me of the AMG GTS I test drove extensively. Feels more stiff than my 911's, but more quiet cabin/much less road noise.Stereo is not as bad as the forum led me to believe! A little too much treble but certainly a good solid system for this price range.
The interior is really nice, much nicer than reviews will let on. The piping, quilted stitching and suedecloth make a very special feeling interior coming from Porsche plain Spartan black interior.
Visibility also better than I was anticipating. I can feel the heaviness of this car compared to a 911, but handles great des
pite the weight.

Congratulations Doc!
Absolutely gorgeous car. I just saw that color blue for the first time on a British Design F-Type at an Anaheim dealer when I was in CA yesterday. A collector was coming in that day to pick up the British Design and a BRG F-Type R that was sitting in the showroom. The salesman said this guy purchased a car a month for his collection. Must be nice!
Can't wait to get mine in April...

devlman I am very interested to see the carbon fiber package. Mine was supposed to have it and seeing yours will help me decide how hard to push the dealer to follow through. Post lots of pics!! I am thinking right now, I want the hood louvers and side mirrors and will let them slide on the big pieces front and rear but I am not sure.
And be prepared to drool over your Ultra Blue. So awesome in person.

devlman the dealer did not put it on the order, their oversight.
With this pretty metallic blue paint be sure to tell the dealer DO NOT let their detail guys put a buffer near the car. The British racing edition Ultra Blue that my dealer had on the lot was so full of swirled paint it was just awful. I requested mine be touched only with water and microfiber cloth to get the travel dust off before my detail guy does his magic and my paint looks GORGEOUS right from the factory.
